A Taste of Herb return to Sweetwater

Yes, the boys of the Swingin’ ’60s are back with all the Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass favorites! A Taste of Herb takes the Sweetwater Grill & Tavern, 115 S. Elm St., patio stage tonight, 7-9 p.m. The windows will be open, and a curious Courthouse-Square crowd will trickle in, so get your seat early.
And tomorrow night, at the White House, on the corner of Bryan and Scripture, accordionist and vocalist Ginny Mac returns as a semi-regular for Jeffry Eckels‘ “Jazz at the White House, A Vocal Showcase,” 8-10:30 p.m. The rhythm section backing Ginny Mac is Lupe Barrera: Drums; Paul Metzger: Guitar; Jeffry Eckels: Bass. No cover.
Also on Wednesday, the Nine and Eight O’Clock Lab Bands perform in UNT’s Gateway Center at 9 p.m. – $/? And International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (ICEM) Concert 1 in the Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theatre at 8 p.m. – FREE (The ICEM Concert Series ends Saturday.
