Jazz for Thanksgiving week –

How better than to spend time with family and friends, giving thanks for our bounty, while taking in some of the best Live Jazz Denton has to offer?

Tonight, Sweetwater Grill & Tavern, 115 S. Elm, brings us A Taste of Herb – the groovy cool Herb Alpert and Tijuana Brass tribute band plays withATasteofHerblogo  impeccable professionalism. 7-9 p.m. Free.

But this presents a sweet dilemma – also tonight, the University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band is playing a free concert at Winspear Hall in the MurchisonPerforming Arts Center. at 8 p.m. – $15/10, (what a wonderful holiday gift!)

Also, just to add spice, takes the stage at Dan’s Silverleaf, 103 Industrial – yes, starting at 8 p.m. Free.

Come out and listen to music by Denton locals! The line-up is: (caruvana), Among the Ashes and The Deadpan Poets. Go to for more information about these local bands, and many more!
