Oui Bis is based in Denton, Texas and plays throughout the North Texas area. Featuring its own rendition of dance music from a variety of American eras including old standards, Latin American jazz, Parisian Gypsy Jazz, both Northern and Southern American Old Time, Irish Traditional, and music from written by modern performers.

Not Jazz, but significant – Oaktopia Music and Culture Festival will take up five locations in Downtown Denton – Andy’s, Hailey’s, Banter, J&J’s Pizza and Williams’ Square (the Wells Fargo parking lot), 2 p.m. – $22
UNT Mariachi Aguilas performs in Winspear Hall at 6:30 p.m. – FREE

Kum Bah! Yah! Yah! Fundraiser (Two Tons of Steel, Lincoln Durham, and Basically Basie’s Big Band) at Dan’s Silverleaf, 103 Industrial, at 6:30 p.m. – $20
Proceeds go to Orant Charities – connecting individuals who have a desire to share their abilities, time, and talents with the needs of the orphaned, the poor, and the vulnerable around the world. We do this through partnerships and targeted projects such as water development and healthcare.
