So, here’s what’s happening at Banter Bistro, 219 W. Oak St., Denton, for the next several days! Don’t be shy, come on in – enjoy the great cuisine (including Vegan), a host of refreshing beverages and lots of top-rate music.

Thursday, August 8:

6 p.m. – Wes Case Scenario at Banter – Jazz; 8 p.m. – Open Mic, sign up at 7:45 p.m.; be here a little early to make sure you get on the list! Friday, August 9:

6 p.m. – Classical Guitar; 8 p.m. – Billy Ratcliff; 9 p.m. – Melissa Ratley; 10 p.m.- DCC is Back at Banter Comedy Show!

Melissa Ratley

Melissa Ratley is a singer/songwriter from Flower Mound, Texas. She has been playing guitar since age 6, and wrote her first song in the second grade. Melissa has always had a love for country music. She was practically raised on Alabama, Diamond Rio, The Judds, and Trisha Yearwood. Though her admiration for country music is attributed to the music that was played in the 80′s and 90′s, she LOVES classic country.

Saturday, August 10:

6 p.m. –Alex Cannon Jazz; 8 p.m. –  Wise Ruby at Banter; 10 p.m. – Lead Belly: A Tribute

Though Alex Cannon is fairly young his passion for jazz goes way back. Over the years this guitar player has been fortunate enough to have performed with Stefan Karlsson (Eddie Gomez Trio), Shelley Carrol (Duke Ellington Orchestra), Bobby Rodriguez (Quincy Jones) and many other talented musicians.

Sunday, August 11:

– ~DENTON ROCK BENEFIT~ for Denton Animal Shelter Foundation, doors open at 6 p.m.; one show at 7 p.m. and one at 9 p.m.
