The 35 Denton music festival and the local band and artists who filled in daytime slots at many Denton venues have silenced their amps, holstered their axes and cooled their vocal chords … most listeners and enthusiasts will no doubt need the entire Spring Break week to recuperate.

But local live Jazz continues this week at many locations … no wristbands needed.

• Tonight, March 13: Sweetwater Grill & Tavern, 115 S. Elm, Denton, Sweetwater Jazz Quartet featuring Neil Slater, Jim Riggs, Ron Fink and Lou Carfa from 7-9 p.m. – FREE
• Tonight, March 13: UNT Concert Choir & UNT Jazz Singers perform in University of North Texas Winspear Hall at 8 p.m. – FREE
• Wednesday, March 14: Jazz at The Syndicate in the UNT Union Building – 9 p.m. featuring335, Super 400, L5

• Thursday, March 15: UNT on the Square, 109 N. Elm St., Denton.
      7-8 p.m. Evan Oxenhandler group will play music of Miles Davis and his Second Great Quintet, also selections from the Miles Davis quintet, circa 1965-1968..
